Junior Cricket - 2020 Season Update

Cricket Re-start
Following the government's decision to lift restrictions on cricket participation we're delighted to offer our junior cricketers the opportunity to get back out on the field.
We have a training session Saturday morning on 18th July followed by 6 games over subsequent weeks for our under 11 and 9 age groups against local opposition in the Bradford Junior League.
We want to thank-you for your patience over the last few months and hope everyone is looking forward to enjoying some cricket.

We realise that Covid-19 has affected families in various ways. We are asking for a £10 subscription fee for the remainder of the season to cover training and matches. This can be transfered into the club account -

Clothing and Equipment
As a club we have always endeavoured to provide our juniors with any equipment needed as well as a matchday shirt. Unfortunately due to the present situation we ask that, where possible, you provide a matchday shirt for your child.
For the Under 11's if your child has their own equipment we ask that they please bring it with them. We will have equipment and some matchday shirts available for those that require them.
Our under 9's use plastic cricket equipment which will be cleaned and used in line with ECB guidelines.

Covid-19 Symptoms
Please can you check that your child does not have any Covid-19 symptoms before they attend training or matches. If they do show symptoms or they display symptoms with 14 days of attending cricket training or matches please get them tested as soon as possible and keep Phil updated.

On Arrival at the Ground
On arrival your child should sanitize their hands (the club will provide sanitizer) and register with their coach.

Washing/Sanitizing Hands
Children will be asked to wash or sanitize their hands regularly during training and games in line with ECB regulations.

Consideration for Our Coaches
Our coaches are volunteers, please remind your child about the importance of following instructions in the current climate. Our coaches will be ensuring ECB guidelines are followed which will mean some changes to normal procedures.
Our coaches do not want to be put in a position where they may have to remove a child from games or training because they are not complying with instructions.

Please can you child bring their own drinks to training and games with suncream applied prior as and when required.

The Clubhouse
As with any pub, our clubhouse has been without any income during the previous few months. During games we intend to have the bar open for refreshments and any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated by club steward Tom Buxton. A full risk assessment has been carried out, extensive sanitization and cleaning programmes, screens installed and a new one-way system is in place for everyone's safety.

You can get further information from our head junior coach Phil Hiley via e-mail or phone 07793022261.
