Charity Family Fun Day returns August 25th.
The Westy Trophy returns on Sunday August 25th as teams of 6-a-side battle it out to lift the crown currently in possession of Adam Hodgson's band of merry men!
As with last year the competition runs alongside our family fun day with various games and attractions going on around the boundary to keep the family entertained amongst the cricket.
This year we'll be raising money for Marie Curie (our annual charity) and Opening Up Cricket - a charity promoting mental wellbeing and suicide prevention through cricket. Opening Up work hand in hand with Andy's Man Club, The Samaritan's and other mental health charities.
The cricket will begin around 11am and we'll be using a soft ball so players don't have to be regular cricketers to take part.
We'll have plenty of refreshments on the day with music playing, bouncy castle, face painiting and various sporting themed games including beat the keeper, putt for pounds and hit the wickets.
It's free to come along and is open to everyone, you don't have to be a member of the club, so invite your friends and family for a fun day and help us raise important funds for a couple of great charities.
If you'd like to volunteer to help out or enter a team in the tournament then please get in touch as soon as you can.
